    Serenity in the city

Forest bathing has been shown to improve mood, focus, sleep, stress levels and blood pressure, but you don’t have to venture into the wilderness to feel those benefits. The Mira Hong Kong is offering a new Urban Forest Bathing Experience in the nearby Kowloon Park . You’ll hear the calls of the park’s diverse bird population as you immerse yourself in a meditative walk, before returning to the property for unlimited use of its superb spa facilities, including an indoor infinity pool, steam room and waterbed lounge.

Beauty just got a lot more high-tech. The Ziip Halo is a portable, pocket-sized facial toning device that uses micro- and nano-currents to lift and contour the face. It also stimulates collagen production for a rejuvenated appearance with frequent use over time. The device can be paired with the Ziip Beauty app, which, although optional, provides access to other programmes that treat blemishes, improve skin tone and more.

    Into your own hands

If you’re looking for a more hands-on approach to your wellbeing during a retreat, Banyan Tree Phuket’s newly unveiled Nature House may fit the bill. The hub offers a variety of courses for beginners, like DIY body scrubs or reflexology, and those tailored for professionals to get certified as practitioners of different therapies, such as massage, Thai herbal medicine and traditional Chinese medicine. Whichever level of training you choose, you’ll return home with a better sense of how to master your wellbeing and, perhaps, help others with theirs.
