I grew up in Vancouver. Besides my family and friends, there’s a lot of good food, and the British Columbia scenery is just amazing.

There’s Stanley Park , right in the middle of downtown. It’s a 400-hectare urban park filled with trails, beaches and local wildlife. You can walk, bike or drive through it – I took my wedding photos there. There’s also Granville Island , which isn’t actually an island – it once used to be an industrial area, but now it’s been converted into a hip district with restaurants, theatres, shops and markets.

If you enjoy seafood, you’re in luck – Vancouver’s seafood is fantastic. I like the Fanny Bay Oyster Bar downtown at the Vancouver Shellfish public market, where you can eat freshly shucked oysters from the west coast.
It can get quite dry in Vancouver, in both the summer and the winter. I always bring a hydrating toner or mist to spray on top of my makeup, just to keep my skin hydrated.
