A new weekend festival is set to help make Hong Kong a healthier, fitter city this month, as the first ever Hong Kong Fitness + Wellness Expo will be taking over from 18-20 November. Held at AsiaWorld-Expo, this three-day lifestyle extravaganza is set to bring leading gym instructors, big-name wellness brands, and adrenaline-pumping classes to the city.
With names like Nike and Puma as well as hometown heroes Pherform and Pure Fitness putting their best foot forward at the event, visitors can take their lifestyle to the next level with the expert guidance and top-of-the-line equipment on hand. Journey through the Expo’s several areas to experience a fitness and wellness adventure spanning international sports races, workshops, and social moments with like-minded people.

Avid yogis should make a beeline for the Cathay Yoga Stage, where a range of both traditional and unconventional classes take the spotlight, spearheaded by yogic experts at IRIS. Stretch your muscles with Hatha and Vinyasa sessions led by the city’s brightest practitioners, and challenge yourself with Fitness Yoga. Specialised classes designed to deepen your learning are on offer too, with an entire workshop centred on achieving the perfect backbend .

The Nike Training Club and its leading instructors will have their own fitness home at the expo, where daily classes will be held for any attendee to join in. Get pumped at a weightlifting or bodybuilding session, charge your way through a HIIT workout, or shake it out at a Zumba class - with so many options, there’s every opportunity to try something new.

This German fitness race is finally making its debut on Asian shores, pushing Hongkongers to the limit as they compete against one another. Part mini-marathon, part circuit workout, the HYROX race sees participants take part in eight 1km runs interspersed with challenging workouts at top speed. Interested in joining? More than 100 fitness and wellness brands will be on offer at the expo, making it the perfect place to stock up on your kit. Upgrade your trainers with kicks from the likes of Lane Eight and Puma, or finally put to rest your old yoga pants with a swish new pair from Caelum Greene. Green Common will also be on hand with a wide range of plant-based meats and earth-friendly groceries, alongside a wide range of homegrown brands.
Looking for a future gym buddy or personal trainer? Head to the Gym Village and meet like-minded people, where leading Hong Kong gyms such as Pure Fitness and F45 will join forces to bring their expertise to you. Described as a ‘fitness playground’, a number of talented instructors will be on hand to answer any burning questions you may have about developing the perfect workout routine.
