How does the air passenger departure tax apply if I enter Hong Kong by land or sea?

Effective from 1 Oct 2025, air departure tax will be increased to HK$200 per passenger aged 12 and above as part of a government-mandated adjustment. This applies to air tickets purchased on or after this date, regardless of the departure date.

If you’re entering Hong Kong by our coach and ferry transfers and SkyLimo services from the GBA, or by rail, and departing by air through Hong Kong International Airport within two days, you’re eligible to apply for a refund at the airport or online – as long as you haven’t exited Hong Kong by land or sea on the day of your flight or the day before.
