Bangkok’s best hotels cluster around two areas. The first is the Chao Phraya, home to stalwarts of the city’s five-star establishments. Besides classics like The Peninsula Bangkok and Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, recent additions to the area include the Capella Bangkok and the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, the latter of which has ample meeting spaces, the Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Yu Ting Yuan and BKK Social Club – ranked third on the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 list. The other place to find great hotels is Sukhumvit Road, reached by one of the Skytrain (BTS) lines. The recently refurbished Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit is a luxurious base for business travellers, offering modern decor and state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of the city.
