“I always get to the airport a little early. I hate the rush and I want to enjoy the Cathay experience. The First class check-in is always smooth and easy and takes a few minutes. Once we’re through security, we head straight to The Pier, First lounge. If we have enough time, we book a foot massage. Both my partner and I like to make sure we eat well, and always start with a mimosa, no matter the time of day.”
“After eating, we relax in the main lounge, perhaps top up with some snacks from the pantry, and enjoy a digestif of some sort. This ensures we board our flight with our appetites sated, ready for the relaxing experience.”

“When I fly out of Hong Kong, I normally arrive at the airport at least two and a half hours before departure so I have time to visit the Sky Bridge to appreciate the busy yet efficient operations of Hong Kong International Airport. After that, I enjoy a delicious preflight meal and do a little bit of work in the lounge while watching the planes take off and land.”

“Flying with a young toddler is never easy. Luckily, The Pier, First is a sanctuary where adults can unwind and enjoy great food and wine, and young kids can have a good pre-flight nap in the highly private day suites.”

“Whenever I fly First class or Business with Cathay Pacific, I always make a point to arrive at the airport with plenty of time to unwind at their lounges – it's my favourite way to start a holiday. The shower facilities in the lounge are the best I've encountered – nice decor, well-thought-out layout, a curated selection of premium toiletries, and an ample supply of soft, fluffy towels. One of my must-dos at the lounge is getting a massage. The therapists have good pressure and technique, I just wished they offered longer sessions!”
“The restaurant staff are very friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. I really enjoy the special menus in collaboration with local restaurants, which keeps the menu fresh and exciting. Last time, I had the dan dan noodles, they were so good I still think about them. I also love the baked goods and drinks in the grab-and-go section for when I'm in a rush or want a little extra snack for the flight.”

“I always go to the Cathay Pacific First class lounge. I'll get changed, then order the awesome dan dan noodles with a side of peanuts and a soda water or an iced Americano if I’m flying in the morning. It is very habitual after sixteen years of flying with Cathay!”
