Guangzhou: LN Garden Hotel, Guangzhou

Set amid ornamental gardens and koi ponds, this luxurious property will make you forget you’re in the middle of Guangzhou’s business district. The most striking piece of landscaping is an 18-metre-tall waterfall, which guests can view from a glass conservatory. Nods to the city’s Cantonese heritage – watercolour murals, patterned tiles and ornate cabinets – appear throughout the hotel, but especially in restaurant Lai Wan A Cantonese Kitchen.
