Last year certainly paved the way, but 2025 is set to be the year of sleep tourism. Speaking of luxurious sleep experiences, Belmond will launch L’Observatoire, a new private carriage on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, next month. Created by French artist JR, this beautiful sleeper carriage features design elements inspired by astronomical observatories, including an oculus-shaped skylight and Renaissance Europe’s cabinets of curiosity. Inside, there’s a bedroom with a freestanding bathtub, a lounge, a library and a hidden Tea Room, offering an immersive experience that blends art, luxury and the spirit of adventure.

They’re both available at The Mandarin Spa , with the option to add an express facial for a comprehensive wellness experience.
