Ichiban Ochaya is a second-floor tearoom on Tamshui Old Street, where the shade from trees outside its window gives it a leisurely feeling of seclusion. The tearoom has selected 10 quality Taiwanese teas, made by different processes, with a choice of fragranced teas, roasted aromas and distinctive sweet flavours.
Ingredients are also added to make blends such as tea coffee, floral teas and fruit teas. You can also sample teas from its private collection, including Taiwanese White Tea and Jia Ye Long Tea. No matter your choice of tea, paired with local and Japanese snacks handmade by the husband-and-wife proprietors, you’ll enjoy a pleasant afternoon.
