Lounge Passes

Available in all statuses, the Lounge Pass is a mid-status benefit that enables members, or their family members and friends, to enjoy our world-class lounges when they reach a certain number of Status Points.

Experience the lounges

Your Lounge Pass opens a world of exclusive amenities and signature dishes and drinks. Some of our most beautiful lounges are in Hong Kong, our home and hub. There, you can relax, refresh and recharge before your flight with such signature experiences as the Noodle Bar, Shower Suites, the Relaxation Room, and much more. Your Lounge Pass can also be used at our specific partner lounges.

One Business Class Lounge Pass

For yourself or a travel companion.

Complimentary lounge access is not a standard benefit for Green members, so this allows you to experience the lounge once to preview the benefits available in the next status.

Two Business Class Lounge Passes

For a travel companion.

Silver members enjoy unlimited lounge access already, so this allows you to invite a friend or family member to the lounge when you’re travelling together.

Two Business Class Lounge Passes

For a travel companion or Redemption Group member.

Gold members enjoy unlimited lounge access with one guest, so this allows you to invite additional travel companions, or gift a friend or family member who is travelling on their own as a Redemption Group member.

Two First or Business Class Lounge Passes

For a travel companion or Redemption Group member.

Diamond members enjoy unlimited lounge access with up to two guests, so this allows you to invite additional travel companions or gift a friend or family member who is travelling on their own as a Redemption Group member.

Lounge Passes are valid for use in any Cathay Pacific or eligible partner lounges. Please check the eligible lounges here.

Lounge Passes are to be used before flights that are marketed and operated by Cathay Pacific.

Once you’ve reached the required number of Status Points, your mid-status benefit will automatically appear in your account for you to claim. Visit your mid-status benefits summary page to view your earned benefits and expiration dates.

 

For yourself or a travel companion:

via Manage Booking

  1. Claim your Lounge Pass via Manage Booking from 3 months to 90 minutes before flight departure.
  2. Sign in to find the booking under the Manage Booking, and select your Cathay Pacific flight. There is also an option to retrieve the booking of your travel companion who is not in the same booking, but travelling on the same flight date, with the same origin and destination, as you.
  3. Select the Lounge Pass type and passenger’s name who will receive the Lounge Pass.
  4. After the successful submission of your claim, a lounge invitation will be included on the passenger’s boarding pass.

 

via mobile app

  1. Claim your Lounge Pass via Cathay Pacific mobile app from 48 hours to 90 minutes before your flight departure.
  2. Sign in to find your Lounge Pass(es) under Mid-status Benefits on the View Profile page.
  3. Select Claim Lounge Pass to retrieve the booking of yourself or a travel companion who is travelling together with you in the same booking. You can also select Other Booking(s) to claim for your travel companion who is not in the same booking, but travelling on the same flight date, with the same origin and destination, as you.
  4. Select the booking, airport lounge, Lounge Pass type and passenger’s name who will receive the Lounge Pass, and then press the Confirm button.
  5. After the successful submission of your claim, a lounge invitation will be included in the information section of the mobile boarding pass after check-in. Please press the Refresh button / pull-to-refresh to view your claimed Lounge Pass, if the boarding pass was issued / downloaded to your wallet before your claim.

 

For a Redemption Group member:
 

via mid-status benefits summary page

  1. Sign in to visit your mid-status benefits summary page and select ‘Claim Lounge Pass for your Redemption Group member’ from 48 hours before the passenger’s flight departure.  
  2. Select the flight sector, airport and passenger’s name who will receive the Lounge Pass.
  3. After the successful submission of your claim, a lounge invitation will be included on the passenger’s boarding pass once online check-in is completed.

 

by calling Customer Care

  1. Contact our Customer Care to claim Lounge Pass for your Redemption Group member from 3 months to 90 minutes before the passenger’s flight departure.
  2. After the successful submission of your claim, Customer Care will confirm the lounge pass with you by phone or email. A lounge invitation will be included on the passenger’s boarding pass once online check-in is completed. 

 

This benefit must be claimed online within 12 months of the date it was issued – it is not yet available on the mobile app or at airport check-in.

 

  • All lounge passes described in this section must be booked when booking a ticket.
  • 1 Business Class lounge pass will be awarded to Green Members once the Member has achieved 200 Status Points.
  • 2 Business Class lounge passes will be awarded to Silver Members once the Member has achieved 450 Status Points.
  • 2 Business Class lounge passes will be awarded to Gold Members once the Member has achieved 800 Status Points.
  • 2 First Class or Business Class lounge passes will be awarded to Diamond Members once the Member has achieved 1,400 Status Points.
  • For Green Members, lounge passes are only available to Members or their travel companion on flights operated and marketed by CPA.
  • For Silver Members, lounge passes are only available to their travel companions on flights operated and marketed by CPA.
  • For Gold members, lounge passes are only available to their travel companions or the Member’s Redemption Group Nominees on flights operated and marketed by CPA.
  • For Diamond Members, lounge passes are only available to their travel companions or the Member’s Redemption Group Nominees on flights operated and marketed by CPA.
  • Travel companions for lounge passes are guests travelling with the Member on the same booking, or travelling on the same flight date, with the same origin and destination, as the Cathay Membership Programme Member.
  • Redemption Group Nominees can enjoy the lounge pass without travelling together with the member.
  • Lounge passes must be claimed online and are not available at airport check-in.
  • Each lounge pass is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
  • Lounge passes for Green, Silver, and Gold Members are applicable only for eligible departure Business Class lounges.
  • Lounge passes for Diamond Members are applicable only for eligible departure First or Business Class lounges.
  • No cancellation or change may be made after claiming the lounge pass. A physical lounge pass must be presented at the time of entry into the lounge.
  • In case of any flight irregularities, the Member should contact Customer Care Team for assistance.
  • Lounge passes are not available to Members on Membership Holiday.
  • The Cathay Membership Programme terms and conditions apply. All matters and disputes relating to this benefit will be subject to the final decision of CPA and AML.
