Arriving at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, we’re greeted by a palatial property with an ornate, off-white façade and red asphalt-shingled roof. We pass through the main entrance into the six-storey Grand Salon: plush furniture, glistening chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows unfold before us, along with views of an elegantly landscaped garden.
The property features five dining venues, two swimming pools – including a baby pool with swimming vests and floating devices for children – a spa and a 24-hour gym. Additionally, the hotel boasts activities, workshops and amenities designed to delight younger guests, such as story time at the Storybook Playroom, shopping at Kingdom Gifts and outdoor exploration in the Mickey Maze. With so much on offer, guests of all ages will find themselves fully immersed in the magic.

Our Ocean View Balcony room is an exquisite space, fitted with hardwood furniture, ample storage for the entire family and beauty products from cult brand Rituals. As a thoughtful touch, Disney motifs are artfully woven into the interior design.
Mornings are serene; we sip coffee on the spacious balcony, enjoying stunning views of the garden and sea. In the evening, we wind down with a hot bubble bath, before snuggling under the covers to watch classic Disney animated movies – the perfect family bonding moment.

The Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel’s Enchanted Garden Restaurant invites us in with its whimsical, garden-inspired interior. Guests are treated to a wide selection of international dishes under its sky-blue ceiling – the carving station and chocolate fondue are highlights. What sets this dining experience apart, though, is the chance to interact with our favourite characters. Mickey Mouse and Friends visit each table for a playful exchange and to capture memorable moments on camera.

While you may be planning to hit the park, you could quite easily spend your stay exploring the hotel and its surroundings. We start off with Tai Chi with Mickey in the lobby (though you might get someone else), then venture outdoors for mini golf and go-karting with the kids.
Elsewhere in the resort, more adventures await. Hop on the hotel shuttle and you can ride bikes or paddle boats at nearby Inspiration Lake . Alternatively, take a stroll along the waterfront promenade which connects the property to two hotels near Hong Kong Disneyland: the adventure-themed Disney Explorers Lodge and the art-deco chic Disney’s Hollywood Hotel. Each hotel also stocks its own selection of special-edition merchandise, and as a guest, you’ll enjoy exclusive shopping deals.

With Hong Kong Disneyland’s 20th Anniversary celebration kicking off on June 28, it will provide much to marvel at, from the all-new anniversary only Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle to the park’s largest-ever all-new “Friendtastic!” parade, on Main Street, U.S.A. You’ll also find new food and beverage items, as well as exclusive merchandise.
The park’s permanent attractions are a delight as usual. In World of Frozen, the world’s first and largest Frozen-themed land, you will meet Princesses Anna and Elsa and their adorable sidekick Olaf in the theatrical Playhouse in the Woods. Spots for this show fill up fast, so secure yours as soon as you arrive at the park by registering for a Disney Standby Pass through the Hong Kong Disneyland app. Afterwards, indulge in a sweet treat at the Northern Delights dessert shop.
As night falls, remember to gather in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams to watch the park’s grandest ever enhanced nighttime spectacular, Momentous Nighttime Spectacular: Party in the Night Sky – a dazzling symphony of theatrical lighting, water fountains and fireworks, all set to classic Disney music. There’s no better way to end the day.
