“The best part of being a Cathay Pacific’s Cathay member is the attentive service. From booking flights to airport check-in, boarding and in-flight service, the Cathay Pacific team is always meticulous and considerate. 

“What’s more, Diamond members avoid long waits at the airport, with First class check-in and priority lane access at security, plus help from baggage handlers for a hands-free experience. The Wing, First is conveniently located – simply turn left after security – as are the Cathay Pacific lounges near the departure gates, including The Pier, First, The Deck and The Bridge. I can shower, relax and enjoy a good meal before boarding, and have the reassurance of knowing I’ll be notified of any gate changes while I’m in the lounge. As a Diamond member, I also make use of the buggy service to reach gates 40 to 71, saving me the walk. 

“After boarding – via the priority lane for Diamond members, of course – the crew takes your meal orders, ensuring your preferred options are available. The cabin crew are always incredibly attentive and go above and beyond to make your experience comfortable – truly a source of pride for Cathay Pacific.” 

“A few years ago, on an overnight flight from Perth to Hong Kong, I was planning to skip the inflight breakfast service and instead dine at one of the fabulous Cathay Pacific First class lounges, which I have access to thanks to my Platinum status with Cathay Pacific partner Qantas. Thankfully, a Cathay Pacific flight attendant talked me into having breakfast onboard while flying over the South China Sea – it was delicious.” 

“I was travelling alone on my birthday, which coincides with Valentines Day. During the flight, the cabin crew surprised me by singing ‘Happy Birthday’ and presenting a handwritten card. A few years later, the same thing happened – it was an amazing celebration. It’s the warmth of the cabin crew that makes flying with Cathay Pacific a fantastic experience.”
