Alternatively, we’ve got another way to show you care. For a limited time, we’re helping you and your friends earn more miles together. Here’s how to earn thousands of Asia Miles through the power of friendship – and your Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard^®.

If you’re an existing Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard holder

From now until 31 March, refer your friends and family for a co-branded credit card to earn more miles. All you have to do is register for the offer online. You'll then receive a unique promo code, which you can share with your friends and family to use in their application form when they apply for their own card online through Cathay. Note that if you’re not already logged in to your Cathay account when you register, you’ll be prompted to sign in.

As the referrer, you’ll earn 1,000 for each application form with your promo code submitted by your friends and 5,000 for each successful application. That means you’ll earn 6,000 for each friend who gets their card application approved. During this offer period, you can benefit from up to 20 referees – meaning you can earn a maximum of 120,000 from referrals.

We know that friendship is a two-way street, so rest assured that your referees will also benefit from your referral. Those who apply for a Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard using your promo code from now until 31 March, and who have their card issued by 21 April, will receive an extra welcome offer of 10,000 – without any spending required. That’s on top of the welcome offer new cardholders* can enjoy, which allows them to earn up to 120,000 with their accumulated eligible spending in the first two months from the date their card is issued. 

Alternately, new cardholders can choose to instead enjoy the FanFest Offer of the month. This month’s FanFest Offer allows new cardholders to redeem a 20-inch Cathay x Samsonite suitcase when they spend at least HKD12,000 within the first two months of receiving their new card.

Be sure to let your friends know what other benefits new cardholders get so they’re making full use of their new card’s perks.
