How to protect yourself from fraud
Criminals may attempt to misuse personal details to create fake accounts and divert Asia Miles and/ or Status Points. We work continuously behind the scenes to safeguard your information, and staying alert to unusual activity helps us act quickly together.
Dos and don'ts
- Book via Cathay website or app and always add your Cathay membership number to your booking, to keep your bookings and rewards seamlessly and securely connected to you.
- If you suspect that your entitled Status Points and/ or Asia Miles are missing, please inform us immediately.
- Set up a Passkey for additional account security. Create your Passkey

If you suspect any fraudulent transactions on your credit card, we suggest you reach out to your credit card company immediately and follow their instructions.
If you notice anything unusual with your account such as unexpected activity or changes, please log in to your account and change your password immediately. Also set up a Passkey and enable two-factor authentication if you haven’t already done so, and verify your account profile and details to ensure that they remain intact.
