Slow down on Cheung Chau island
Hong Kong tourism is closely linked with skyscrapers and shopping, but there is another, more bucolic side to the city. The island of Cheung Chau, 35 minutes from Central by fast ferry, offers an alternative pace of life with beautiful temples, seaside cycling routes, arty cafes and car-free roads.
