9-Day 7-Night: Sri Lanka - An in-depth exploration of Bawa’s architectural wonders
 
This is the 2nd visit to Sri Lanka. The first visit was some 15 years ago and it was an independent holiday. This time I am attracted by the theme of CX holiday: designer hotels of Geoffrey Bawa. I am always interested in architecture and it is always one of my dream occupation. Thus having the opportunity to stay in designer hotels making this trip very special and appealing. The most memorable hotel to me is the Kandalama Hotel, which blend into the nature so well that one might miss it looking from a distance. The way Mr. Bawa preserved the rocks and trees and blend it into the hotel buidling itself is amazing. The behind scenes tours of these legendary hotels have made the visit so unique as one knows more about the stories of the hotels and how they are built. It was very enjoyable to have a private tour like this. I wish we could have a choice to stay as least one more day in these excellent hotels to enjoy and relax!

9-Day 7-Night: Sri Lanka - An in-depth Bawa’s architectural wonders with Dolphin & Whale Watching

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Pradeeb and Dinil from TCC Sri Lanka, who provided exceptional service as our private guide and chauffeur during my first visit to Sri Lanka with my mother. 

Pradeeb was incredibly attentive, making flexible adjustments to our itinerary to ensure it perfectly suited our needs. He took wonderful care of us throughout the entire journey. Likewise, Dinil is a highly skilled chauffeur who ensured we traveled safely and comfortably between destinations. He even went above and beyond by sharing his personal Wi-Fi hotspot when the onboard router failed. 

Over the course of 9 days, we enjoyed so many unique experiences. A major highlight was staying in three luxurious hotels designed by Geoffrey Bawa and visiting his iconic Lunuganga estate. We also loved the calming atmosphere and natural beauty of the tea country in Nuwara Eliya. 

From the Jeep Safari to whale and dolphin watching, the up-close encounters with Sri Lanka’s precious wildlife were unforgettable.  

This private tour was truly incredible, and I will definitely recommend it to everyone!
