Here’s how to unlock your Cathay mid-status benefits

As you move towards upgrading your Cathay member status, you can enjoy even more privileges and perks along the way – an effort we've spent 25 years building. Enter: mid-status benefits. Learn how to maximise your Cathay Membership benefits and make your travels even more rewarding.

What are mid-status benefits?

As a Cathay member, you earn Status Points each time you fly with us or our oneworld partner airlines, as well as when you spend with our co-branded credit card. Get pampered by us along the way as you accumulate points to the next tier.

When you reach specific Status Point milestones within your membership year, you receive complimentary mid-status benefits. These vary depending on your status, with highlights including First or Business class lounge passes, bookable upgrades or companion Gold membership. 

These mid-status benefits will be automatically added to your Cathay account. See some of the rewards to look forward to below.

Green members 

If you’re a Green member, your mid-status benefit will kick in once you reach 200 Status Points. You’ll receive a one-time lounge pass for yourself or your travel companion to enjoy any Cathay Pacific or eligible partner Business class lounge. Make sure to claim your lounge pass online, available up to 90 minutes before your flight departure time. Once claimed, a lounge invitation will be added to your or your companion’s boarding pass.

Silver members

Unlock your mid-status benefits as a Silver member once you’ve reached 450 Status Points. Claim your two Business class lounge passes online and add it to the relevant boarding passes; these give you or your travel companion one-time access to Cathay Pacific or eligible partner Business lounges.

Gold members

There are two exceptional mid-status benefits for Gold members. The first unlocks at 800 Status Points, giving you two additional Business class lounge passes for your travel companions or members of your redemption group nominee. The second – at 1,000 Status Points – rewards you four single-sector bookable upgrades to the next cabin class for you or your travel companion on Cathay Pacific flights (up to medium-haul distance).

Beyond enjoying the comfort, you'll also be spoiled by earning the Status Points and Asia Miles of the upgraded class. For example, if you upgrade from Premium Economy to Business, you’ll earn the Status Points and Asia Miles of a Business class ticket.

Diamond members

For Diamond members, mid-status benefits start at 1,400 Status Points, with two First or Business class lounge passes that you can share with your travel companion or redemption group nominee. At 1,600 points, you can claim four single-sector bookable upgrades to the next cabin class – these are also available for any Cathay Pacific flights for yourself, your travel companion or a redemption group nominee. Finally, at 1,800 points you'll receive a Gold companion card, which you can gift to a loved one for the ultimate treat.
