Stay here: Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore

There is no shortage to great hotels in Singapore, but to find one that is both luxurious and sustainable in equal measure is much rarer.  

What’s the deal? 

Huge columns of foliage make this 26-storey “rainforest in the sky” a distinctive new landmark on the Orchard Road skyline. Designed by Singaporean firm WOHA Architects, Pan Pacific Orchard was conceived with sustainability at the fore. 

Forest, beach, garden and cloud: the hotel is split into four zones with rooms designed accordingly, though each shares marble furnishings, Diptyque amenities, smart air conditioning and lush bedding. It’s highly certified for its sustainability features: in-room filtered water dispensers eradicate plastic bottles; solar panels contribute power; and a bio-digester system transforms food waste into cleaning water.

An immaculate indoor-outdoor gym covers all fitness needs, while Mosella restaurant serves Peruvian- Mediterranean sharing plates with a focus on fresh healthy ingredients. A pioneer in high-rise tropical hospitality, Pan Pacific is an oasis in the heart of the action.
