1. What kind of redemption service does Online Booking offer?
You can redeem your Asia Miles for flight awards, including Upgrade Awards and Companion Ticket Awards through our Online Booking service.
2. I noticed that online upgrade redemption on Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights cannot be arranged from your websites. Why?
Due to system enhancement, online upgrade redemption on Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flights are currently unavailable from our websites until July 2012. You may still redeem your upgrade through the following channels:
Members of The Marco Polo Club Submit the Airline Award Request Form and our Member Services Executives will contact you to finalise your request, or call The Club Service Line on +800 2747 5500 to make the necessary arrangements.
Asia Miles members Submit the Airline Award Request Form, our Member Services Executives will contact you to finalise your request, or call Asia Miles Service Hotline at +852 2747 3838 to make the necessary arrangements.
3. What flights are available through the Online Booking service?
You can redeem Dragonair and Cathay Pacific flight awards through the Online Booking service. Most flights are available for booking at a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 11 months prior to the scheduled departure. Currently, flight awards operated by our codeshare partners are not available for redemption online. If you would like to claim flight awards on our airline partners, please log on to your account and submit an Airline Award Request Form online.
4. How many tickets can I redeem online?
You can book and redeem flight awards or Upgrade Awards online for yourself and all of your Redemption Group Nominees, however only one Companion Ticket Award can be booked per flight.
5. How do I access the page to redeem flight award travel through the Online Booking service?
Simply select “Online Booking” under “Manage Your Trip” located on the left navigation bar. Two options, “Flight Booking” and “Asia Miles Flight Award Redemption” will then appear.
6. How do I reserve or assign a seat for my confirmed flight(s)?
For flights on Dragonair or Cathay Pacific, Advance Seat Reservation is a benefit currently offered to Silver, Gold and Diamond members of The Marco Polo Club. This is not currently offered to Green members and Asia Miles members; unless flying First, Business and Economy Class in eligible fare classes.
If you are travelling on Dragonair or Cathay Pacific, you can select your seats up to 48 hours prior to the flight scheduled departure time through our online check-in facility, which is available for most Dragonair and Cathay Pacific routes. Please go to Advance Seat Reservation for more details.
Advance Seat Reservation is not available when using flight awards to travel with our airline partners, therefore please make your request at check-in.
7. Am I entitled to lounge access when travelling on an award ticket?
If you are travelling on Dragonair or Cathay Pacific as a First or Business Class passenger or Silver, Gold or Diamond member of The Marco Polo Club, you have access to the Dragonair or Cathay Pacific lounges. Please go to Lounges to learn more.
