    Status Qualifications

When I submit a missing claim, which year will those Status Points be credited to?

Starting 1 January 2027, Status Points will be credited to the year that corresponds to the flight date, labelled as the “activity date” under Latest Transactions on your member profile or account statement.

For example, if you submit a missing claim on 3 January 2028 for a flight taken on 17 December 2027, your 2027 Status Points balance will be updated to include the claim amount once it has been confirmed.

Any related adjustments – such as a higher status or rollover points – will also be applied automatically, effective on the date the missing Status Points are credited.

If the claim is processed on or after 1 February, no Status Point adjustments will be made to any of your Status Points balances. However, these Status Points will still count towards your eligibility for Diamond membership reserve.

For example, if you submit a missing miles claim on 5 February 2028 for a flight taken on 17 December 2027, your 2027 and 2028 Status Points balances will remain unchanged once the claim has been confirmed. However, your claimed Status Points will count towards your Diamond membership reserve benefit. Additionally, your Asia Miles will be credited as usual.

All dates are in Hong Kong Time.
