“I remember flying Cathay Pacific to Europe for the first time. The excitement kept me awake until 4am. As I pressed myself against the window and watched the buildings shrink, I felt a sense of awe at the vastness of the world.

“But what I remember most vividly wasn’t the view but the light refreshments served at 30,000 feet. When the flight attendant pushed the dining cart down the aisle, offering cup noodles and sandwiches, the aroma was just heavenly. And slowly savouring the ice cream at the end of the meal was the most precious reward of the entire journey.

“No matter how far you fly, it’s the simple and sincere acts that you cherish most, like being offered hot cup noodles and sweet ice cream. It’s the feeling of being cared for and having everything arranged perfectly for you.

“I’m now retired. I’ve flown countless times, but it’s still the memory of the snacks from my first Cathay Pacific flight that I treasure the most. That moment when I was a curious child with my parents by my side, guiding me through the world.”

“My first time trying claypot rice onboard Cathay Pacific was amazing. Impressively, the culinary team managed to achieve the perfect crisp.”

“My family and I were flying First class from Boston back to Hong Kong. The Inflight Service Manager introduced the menu and said, ‘Mr. Li, you always order Boston lobster when you fly First class. Today, you absolutely must try the stir-fried Boston lobster, which is exceptionally fresh.’ The lobster served in First class aboard Cathay Pacific is always delicious, but I found it extra special to be eating Boston lobster on a trip from Boston!”

“My most memorable meal was the Indonesian-style beef served in Premium Economy on flight CX782 from Denpasar (Bali) to Hong Kong. As an Indonesian, I rate the meal 10/10. All the components of the meal had the right texture and it tasted very authentic, like a dish from a local Indonesian restaurant. That was a good meal to close out my holiday in my home country.”

“My most memorable inflight meals are from Cathay Pacific’s Hong Kong menu: chicken and mushroom congee, curry baked seafood rice and braised pork belly.”
