Hong Kong’s Aqua Restaurant Group has opened its fourth and largest Aqua restaurant , in New York’s Flatiron District. The 17,000sq ft Aqua New York seats 432 guests and features dual kitchens offering Japanese and Italian cuisines. The group’s 24th global outlet and its most ambitious project includes two floors with three private dining rooms and the nautically themed bar Aqua Spirit, all presented with characteristically immersive decor.

The stunning Shigeru Ban-designed Shishi-Iwa House in Karuizawa has launched guided hiking trails in the Japanese Alps. The programme promotes Nagano’s mountains and the spiritual side of hiking, offering 10 trails of varying difficulty within 2.5 hours’ drive from the retreat, including a trek among steaming fumaroles to the summit of Yakedake volcano. For the ultimate luxury adventure, you’ll be provided with accommodation, meals, gear, expert guiding in English or Japanese and restorative post-hiking treatments, such as onsen or shiatsu massage.
Dominique Crenn, chef and owner of the three-Michelin starred Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, debuts as Les Bateaux Belmond ’s first culinary curator for the 2025 sailing season, creating new epicurean experiences on French waterways. Taking inspiration from her Gallic roots and using seasonal, local ingredients, Chef’s Table star Crenn has crafted two exquisite menus to be served on board the luxury floating villas in the Burgundy, Champagne and South of France regions. Les Bateaux Belmond operates a fleet of seven vessels, each of which accommodates four to 12 passengers.
