After a confident debut last year, the Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong has established itself as one of the city’s most coveted and stylish stays. On the 50th floor, the Swim Club by architect and designer Steve Leung draws deserved attention for its retro resort‑style infinity pool and cocktail bar, while guest rooms pair sweeping harbour views with thoughtful local touches, from artisanal chocolates to Elephant Grounds coffee. For a stay that fully delivers the unmissable, book a corner suite, which offers a 270‑degree panorama as you soak in your marble bathtub.

Understated but never underappreciated, Upper House has become one of Hong Kong’s coolest hotel stays, earning it two Michelin Keys along the way. André Fu’s Chinese minimalist interiors define its spacious, light-filled rooms, which are a rare value in Hong Kong. The hotel’s newest offering, Green Room, is a plush, VIP-backroom-inspired lounge on the 49th floor, with twinkling nighttime views and DJ sets that draw a stylish crowd.

There are hotels, and then there’s The Peninsula – a landmark that has defined luxury Hong Kong hospitality for the past century. Here, heritage, elegance and thoughtful service come together in a way few places can match. Since 1928, it has set the tone for Hong Kong’s signature East-meets-West luxury, from its fleet of Peninsula-green Rolls-Royces to its Baroque-style lobby, exceptional spa, rooftop helipad, and afternoon tea so refined it’s considered a local institution. Nearly a century on, it still makes five-star indulgence feel effortless.

If walls could talk, the Mandarin Oriental would have stories from Hong Kong’s most glamorous era. Opened back in 1963, this stalwart Central hotel still exudes that jet-set energy, now paired with a top-tier dining scene – think Michelin-starred Cantonese at Man Wah, stylish izakaya at The Aubrey, and rare whiskies galore at The Chinnery. Add a world-class spa famed for its beauty treatments and TCM-inspired therapies, and you have everything you need for an unforgettable stay.
