October in Hong Kong is a month of dazzling contrasts: fireworks bursting over Victoria Harbour, cartoon villains taking over Hong Kong Disneyland and ghosts roaming Ocean Park Hong Kong. Add in world‑class arts performances, charity runs and harbourfront food and wine tasting, and you’ve got a calendar brimming with spirit and spectacle. Whether you’re chasing thrills, culture or culinary delights, the city’s events lineup serves it all this season.

Ocean Park Hong Kong Halloween Fest cranks up the energy with haunted castles, cosplay parties, boyband demons and roaming ghosts, while Ocean Night Wonders offers a gentler adventure, where you can set up your Halloween-themed tent and explore the Grand Aquarium all night long.

National Day is heralded by one of Hong Kong's iconic spectacles: a 23‑minute fireworks display over Victoria Harbour. At 8pm on 1 October, bursts of colour transform the skyline into a dazzling theatre of light. While you can admire the fireworks from a range of locations, including Central and Wan Chai, Tsim Sha Tsui’s Regent Hong Kong is one of the prime spots to take it all in. Book a Harbourview Suite or Premium Harbourview Room, reserve a table at one of the property’s acclaimed restaurants, or secure a private dining venue with terrace access for a front-row vantage point looking towards Hong Kong Island.
