We believe fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture at Cathay is the right thing to do and essential to our success

In 2025 we launched a new DEIB strategy to enhance our maturity and take our efforts to the next level.
We will bring this strategy to life by:
We pledge to enable greater female representation in leadership and in underrepresented areas, and ensure that the gender barriers and biases are eliminated.
We embrace the unique perspectives of all our employees, regardless of race, nationality, ethnicity, religion or cultural background, leveraging our cultural diversity to unite us globally
We celebrate and support all sexual orientations and gender identities, fostering a workplace where everyone can be their authentic selves.
We believe in accessibility and inclusion for all, creating a workplace where everyone can contribute and succeed.
We support our people at all stages of life, fostering an environment where personal and professional growth go hand in hand.

Beyond gender we support our other employees by offering gender neutral and accessible restrooms, a multifaith prayer room, diverse food options in our dining outlets and accessible seating in our canteen in Hong Kong.

Launched in 2018, the Gender Equity Network advocates for change through awareness and education, impactful initiatives and policy reform. This network strives to create a more gender balanced workplace by eliminating barriers and biases across our business.

Launched in 2018, Fly With Pride is our support and social network for LGBTQ+ employees and allies around the world. The network offers a safe place for our LGBTQ+ employees and their allies to share experiences, meet colleagues, socialise, and to find resources and support.

Launched in 2023, the OneCathay: Intercultural network strives to enhance intercultural dialogue and awareness to work better together and build a more inclusive environment. The network aims to foster cultural integration, where our differences are not only tolerated but embraced, and where everyone feels respected and valued.

Launched in 2023, Ability2Fly is an ERG for all employees who care about disabilities, regardless of whether it impacts them, and would like to make Cathay an inclusive and accessible workplace for people of all abilities. The network aims to provide a psychologically safe space grounded in understanding and empathy, where employees can share experiences and knowledge, feel supported to be themselves, and access equal opportunities to contribute, grow, and succeed, by raising awareness and removing barriers.
