    Status Qualifications

Why does my membership status end on 31 January of the following year, instead of 31 December?

By ending your status on 31 January, we can ensure that all Status Points earned from the previous year’s activities, including those earned during peak holiday travel, are credited to your account before the membership status is changed.  In addition, this ensures your status benefits remain uninterrupted during the holiday travel season.

If you earn enough Status Points to renew before the end of the year, your status will be automatically extended for another year.

If a status downgrade is expected, your current status will remain valid until 31 January of the following year, giving you an extra month to enjoy your benefits.
