What is the difference between Status Points and Asia Miles?

The number of Status Points earned determines your tier status. Upon renewal, upgrade or downgrade, your Status Points will automatically be reset to zero and a new membership year begins. Asia Miles are the currency for flight or lifestyle award redemptions and are valid for three years.
