About the programme

Key Features of the "I Can Fly Youth Academy" Programme

• Development: Our academy focuses on nurturing the next generation by providing unique opportunities across the aviation industry. Through experiential learning, interactive sessions and mentorship, we cultivate courage, skills and confidence in young individuals.
• Aviation Exposure: Participants gain invaluable exposure and insights into various facets of the aviation industry. This includes visits to Cathay's state-of-the-art facilities and aviation facilities in the Chinese Mainland, exposure to Cathay’s different lines of business, and meaningful interactions with industry professionals, all aimed at broadening participants’ horizons.
• Social Service: The academy integrates community service, fosters a sense of responsibility and empowers participants to make a difference in their communities.

At the end of the programme, selected members have the opportunity to take part in the I Can Fly Youth Academy Adelaide Trip to further explore the many aspects of aviation and interact with people from different cultures.

Since inception in 2003, over 4,400 students have graduated from the programme. Some alumni have gone on to pursue a career in aviation, illustrating the programme's effectiveness in shaping futures and creating opportunities.
