Tour the iconic monuments in Capitol Hill including the Capital, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court and U.S. Botanic Gardens. Lunch at Eastern Market to sample some fast casual food or head to Barracks Row for some great restaurants. Visit the National Mall to explore the Smithsonian Institution, a collection of 19 museums including The National Air and Space Museum, National Museum of Natural History and The American History Museum. Admire the art at the National Gallery of Art. See the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. Dine at Penn Quarter, one of DC’s hottest dining and entertainment destinations. Take a photo outside the White House. Explore Georgetown taking in the vibrant community and one of DC’s oldest neighbourhoods.
One of the best ways to get around is by foot or bike, as most of the city’s attractions are located near each other. For further destinations take the Metrorail and Metrobus. If you get tired of walking try the DC Circulator which is loved by both residents and visitors.
