Dragonair Introduces New Chinese Inflight Menu with Michelin-Star Dynasty Restaurant

New inflight catering partner Dynasty Restaurant to offer classic, authentic Chinese cuisine in the air

(HONG KONG) Following the start of Dragonair’s 25th anniversary activities earlier in the year, the carrier has announced it has partnered for the first time with the one-star Michelin restaurant Dynasty Restaurant located in the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong, to introduce a new promotional menu of Chinese cuisine.

From mid-April, Dragonair passengers across all cabins on flights from Hong Kong to Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and Kaohsiung can enjoy dishes from a specially-designed inflight menu created by the Dynasty Restaurant. The new menu will be available until mid April 2011 (see appendix).

Dragonair General Manager Inflight Services Cecilia Leung said: “As a world-class airline our top priority is to create the best inflight experience. As for our food provision we strive to delight and create surprises for our customers by providing top quality and innovative cuisine in the air.

“Dragonair is known for our inflight Chinese cuisine and by partnering with the well-known Dynasty Restaurant, I believe we are offering high-quality authentic dishes that everyone will appreciate,” she added.

Dynasty Restaurant’s Executive Chef Tam Sek-lun is happy to see the exceptional dining experience of traditional Chinese cuisine delivered by the restaurant now being offered to an even wider range of guests. He said: “Dragonair passengers are able to enjoy dishes from a distinctively-designed menu with innovative ideas that are sure to excite the palate."

The new series of inflight menus is part of the Dragonair’s customer-centric 25th anniversary celebration programme which will continue throughout 2010.

Other celebration activities which will be rolled out over the course of the year include a specially-designed aircraft livery, super saver promotions, a special themed minisite and an enhanced series of inflight services including more duty-free sales items, monthly lucky draws and the launch of a home delivery service.
