Algernon Yau

Mr Algernon Yau was appointed as CEO of Cathay Dragon in July 2014 and oversees all the commercial aspects and operations of airline.

Prior to taking up his current role, from July 2011 Mr Yau was Chief Executive Officer of Cathay Pacific Services Ltd, the wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways that operates the new Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport. He was responsible for leading and overseeing the development and execution of the company’s long-term business strategy.

From 2008 to 2011, Mr Yau was General Manager HKIA overseeing Cathay Pacific’s ground operations at the airport.

Mr Yau started his aviation career with Cathay Pacific in 1982, working in a number of airport-related positions, and then joined Cathay Dragon in 1994.

Mr Yau has extensive experience in the aviation industry and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong and a Fellow of the Society of Business Practitioners in the UK.

Peter Sanderson

Captain Peter Sanderson is Director Flight Operations for Cathay Dragon. He oversees the development and management of policies in the airline's Flight Operations Department to ensure the safe, effective and economical operation of the airline's fleet. He also manages all elements of operational activity to ensure Cathay Dragon complies fully with the requirements of its Air Operator's Certificate.

Captain Sanderson has considerable experience in the aviation industry. He joined Cathay Dragon in 1993 and has held various positions including Check & Training Captain, Fleet Manager Airbus and Assistant General Manager Operations.

Prior to joining Cathay Dragon, Captain Sanderson worked for the UK carrier Dan-Air and served in the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm. He is a graduate of the INSEAD Asian Executive Programme.

Mike Kitney

Mr Mike Kitney was appointed General Manager Aircrew & Ground Services for Cathay Dragon in October 2014.

He is responsible for overseeing all the support aspects of the Flight Operations Department, with a primary responsibility for the provision and deployment of suitably qualified aircrew, while ensuring that all aircrew, security, ground services and cargo functions are run in accordance with company policy.

Mr Kitney has considerable experience within Cathay Dragon, having worked in various areas, including recruitment, rostering, security and aircrew management, since joining the airline in 1993.

Prior to joining Cathay Dragon, Mr Kitney worked for Cork Gully in the UK and was also a police inspector in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Aberdeen University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University.

Peter Healey

Captain Peter Healey was appointed General Manager Flying in October 2014. He is responsible for overseeing that all line operations, flight crew training  and operational support functions are provided in accordance with company policy. He also oversees the development and implementation of Cathay Dragon’s Flight Operations Policy.

Captain Healey has considerable experience in the aviation industry. He joined Cathay Dragon in 1994 and has held various positions in the airline including Check & Training Captain, Training Manager, Head of Training and Chief Pilot.

Prior to joining Cathay Dragon, Captain Healey had worked for different carriers including Ansett Airlines and Malaysia Airlines. He started his flying career operating charter flights in the Australian outback.

Anna Cheung

Ms Anna Cheung was appointed General Manager - Inflight Services in August 2016. She oversees all aspects relating to inflight services in Cathay Dragon including inflight services development, inflight catering and inflight sales. She is also responsible for the recruitment, development and deployment of cabin crew in delivering world-class service on one of the leading airlines in the region.

Ms Cheung joined the Cathay Pacific Group is 1994 and has held a variety of management positions within the Group. In addition to her Hong Kong-based roles, she has worked in the Group’s offices in China and the Philippines. Prior to taking up her current position, she was Managing Director of Cathay Holidays Limited, a subsidiary of the Group.

Ms Cheung holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the London School of Economics and a Master of Business Administration degree from Manchester Business School.

Alex Lau

Mr Alex Lau was appointed as Cathay Dragon’s General Manager International Affairs on 1 April 2013. He is responsible for the airline’s traffic rights as well as handling regulatory issues.

Before joining Cathay Dragon, Mr Lau was General Manager Commercial at Air Hong Kong from 2004 to 2013, responsible for commercial issues as well as airline planning, international affairs and ground handling arrangements.

Before joining Air Hong Kong he was Manager Cargo Sales Development for Cathay Pacific, working in the airline’s Cargo Department from 1988 to 2004. 

Mr Lau holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hong Kong.

Grace

Ms. Grace Lee was appointed Head of Corporate Communication for Cathay Dragon in January 2010.

She is responsible for the operation and strategic direction of the airline’s network-wide corporate communication, including all public and media relations, public affairs and corporate social responsibility programmes.

Prior to taking up her new position, Ms Lee was Marketing Director for the Hong Kong Design Centre. She has extensive experience in the areas of marketing and communications, including media and stakeholder relations, corporate communications, publications, event management, sponsorship and fundraising, and business matching. She has worked in both the business and public sectors for organisations involved in tourism, banking, sports, education and the design industry.

Ms Lee graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University and later gained a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Darryl Chan

Mr. Darryl Chan was appointed Head of Engineering in August 2008. He is responsible for ensuring the Cathay Dragon fleet is safe and reliable by working with partners Cathay Pacific Airways, Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited and Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited. He is also a Director of Dah Chong Hong - Cathay Dragon Airport GSE Services Limited. 

Prior to joining Cathay Dragon, Mr Chan held various management positions in Cathay Pacific Airways, starting as an Engineering Trainee in 1990 and held a variety of posts including Technical Services Manager (Boeing), Manager Aircraft Engineering and Manager Engineering Planning. 

Mr Chan is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Honorary Secretary of its Hong Kong Branch. He is also Deputy Chairman of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Aircraft Engineering Discipline Advisory Panel and Executive Member of the Hong Kong Aviation Industry Association. 

Mr Chan works extensively with local education and is an advisor for Hong Kong University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University & VTC Youth College. 

Mr Chan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Air Transport Engineering from the City University London.

Wendy Kwan

Ms. Wendy Kwan was appointed Head of Personnel for Cathay Dragon in August 2012. She is responsible for overseeing the overall personnel function within Cathay Dragon, ensuring the establishment and implementation of proper personnel policies, good employment practices and a corporate benefits programme with the aim of meeting specific human resources requirements and ensuring that Cathay Dragon operates as a good employer.

Ms. Kwan concurrently holds the position of Head, Personnel Management Hong Kong Ground Staff in Cathay Pacific Airways and oversees the personnel management for all ground employees based in Hong Kong. She joined the Swire Group in 1986 and later transferred to Cathay Pacific where she held various Personnel positions within the airline.

Ms. Kwan holds a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in Canada.

Andeon_siu

Mr Andeon Siu was appointed Manager Group Safety Cathay Dragon in November 2016. He is responsible for the independent oversight of all aspects of operational safety within Cathay Dragon, providing advice on risk management, risk mitigation and safety actions to the senior management team. He ensures that the company’s Safety Management System is both compliant, and continuously improved, in accordance with standards set by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, IATA and ICAO.

Mr Siu joined the Cathay Pacific Group in 2007 and has held various specialist positions in the Safety Department of Cathay Pacific Airways and Cathay Dragon, including Flight Data Analysis & Investigation, Safety Management System and Fatigue Risk Management System. Prior to taking up his current position, Mr Siu was Group Safety Manager - SMS Assurance & Development at Cathay Pacific.

Mr Siu holds a Master’s Degree in Air Transportation Management from the Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, a Postgraduate Certificate in Aviation Management from University of New South Wales and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Intelligence from Sheffield Hallam University, UK.
