Important information for passengers travelling to and in transit at Hong Kong International Airport from 1 June 2022

Ultimo aggiornamento: 01 Jun 2022 11:15 HKT (GMT+8)

Following the HKSAR Government’s announcement on 29 May regarding the fine tuning of COVID-19 related testing and documentation requirements, the following changes are now in effect for passengers travelling to Hong Kong or in transit at Hong Kong International Airport.

Transiting through Hong Kong International Airport

Passengers from all overseas countries and the Taiwan region are no longer required to hold a negative COVID-19 PCR test or any laboratory accreditation documentation to transit via Hong Kong International Airport.

All passengers are reminded to ensure their booking continues to meet the Airport Authority’s specific transit requirements as well as those required by their final destination.

Arriving in Hong Kong from all overseas countries and the Taiwan region

From 1 June, passengers ending their journey in Hong Kong are no longer required to present any COVID-19 laboratory accreditation (ISO15189) documentation. All other documentation requirements remain.

In addition, passengers below 3 years of age are no longer required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test. They will however continue to undergo post arrival testing by the HKSAR Government.

Passengers who are recovering from a previous COVID-19 infection in the 14 to 90 days prior to departure also have revised testing and documentation requirements, including the use of a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) within 24 hours of scheduled departure time. Please see the HKSAR Government press release for further information.

All passengers from all overseas countries and the Taiwan region ending their journey in Hong Kong are requested to use our Fly Ready service at least 12 hours prior to check-in. We will validate all your health related documents in advance and confirm that you are eligible to fly.

Full details of the Hong Kong entry requirements can be found in our COVID-19 information centre under the Worldwide travel restrictions section.
