What are Status Points and how do I earn them?

Status Points are how you qualify for an elite membership status.  

You can earn Status Points when you fly on Cathay Pacific or oneworld member airlines. Your points are calculated based on a combination of airline, cabin, fare class or fare type, and distance travelled. To find out how much you’ll earn from a flight, check out our Status Points and Asia Miles calculator. The exact number of Status Points and Asia Miles earned from a particular flight will appear during the booking process and on the Manage Booking page once you’ve booked your flight. 

You can also earn 20 Status Points for every Eligible Transaction of HKD100,000 or more using the Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard (issued in Hong Kong only), up to 100 Status Points per calendar year.
