Like before, the Cathay Pacific float will help to kick off the celebrations and lead a parade line-up of 40 groups, including 13 floats as well as 15 overseas and 12 local performing troupes. The parade will start from the Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui before plying along Canton Road and ending at Salisbury Road.
This year, the airline float takes on the theme of “Cathay Pacific; Connecting Hong Kong to the world”. As Hong Kong’s home carrier, Cathay Pacific is committed to strengthening Hong Kong’s position as an international aviation hub, carrying its people around the globe and bringing millions of visitors to experience the delights of this great city.
The Cathay Pacific float aims to reflect how much the airline has grown, with the Cathay Pacific Group now flying to more than 120 destinations with almost 150 aircraft. A contingent of Cathay Pacific uniformed staff including its pilots, flight attendants and ground staff will accompany the float and help to symbolise the airline’s trademark “Service Straight From The Heart”.
