Cathay Pacific Airways and its sister airline Dragonair today celebrated the opening of a new Hong Kong Sales and Ticketing Office in The Gateway in Tsim Sha Tsui. This is the first time for the two carriers to bring together all sales and ticketing functions under one roof in Hong Kong since Dragonair became a member of the Cathay Pacific Group in September 2006.
The office shift from The Peninsula Office Tower to the Gateway will provide more convenience for passengers in Hong Kong, with a larger floor area and more customer counters than before. The majority of the airlines' sales and ticketing functions in other destinations, including Mainland China and Taiwan, have also been integrated.
Officiating at the opening ceremony were Cathay Pacific Chief Executive Tony Tyler and Dragonair Chief Executive Officer Kenny Tang. The ceremony included a ribbon-cutting, and a traditional lion dance to bestow good fortune on the new facility.
Cathay Pacific General Manager Sales, Pearl River Delta & Hong Kong, Clement Lam said: "We are very pleased to be able to offer passengers the latest benefit of the integration of Cathay Pacific and Dragonair. Having the sales and ticketing functions for both carriers under one roof will allow us to run a smoother operation and offer more convenience for our customers in Hong Kong."
The address of the new Cathay Pacific/Dragonair Hong Kong Sales and Ticketing Office is:
Suite 1808, 18th Floor, Tower 6
The Gateway, Harbour City
9 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
