Cathay Pacific Airways today announced a special competition to mark its 60th anniversary with a first prize of HK$600,000 worth of Cathay Pacific air tickets.
The Cathay Pacific Challenge will start on Monday, 21 August, and run as an online competition until Sunday, 17 September, during which time contestants will need to answer up to 60 questions about the airline and its operations.
The six highest-scoring entrants will then compete for the grand prize in a sweepstake challenge at the 60th Anniversary “SkyShow” celebration at Pacific Place on September 24 - the date Cathay Pacific Airways was established in Hong Kong in 1946.
Manager Marketing Communications Celine Ho said the anniversary is an important milestone for Cathay Pacific: “It is a time not only to reflect on our 60 years of serving Hong Kong as the home carrier, but to reaffirm our commitment to the future.
“We want to enjoy our celebration as much as possible with the people of Hong Kong. We believe that through the Cathay Pacific Challenge we can share with them the fascinating and romantic history of their home airline in an entertaining and informative way.”
Other prizes will include tickets for two to Asian destinations for the finalists, and lucky draws of air tickets, Asia Miles and Cathay Pacific 60th Anniversary merchandise for other contestants.
Players can earn extra lucky draw entries for each friend who signs up for the Challenge.
Details of the interactive Cathay Pacific Challenge, including playing instructions and all the information needed to answer the questions, can found at the Cathay Pacific Website: www.cathaypacific.com.hk
The competition is open to all Hong Kong residents with a valid HKID card.
