27 Jun 2006Cathay Pacific Airways today announced it will, by popular demand, add a fourth date to its popular Cathay Pacific 60th Anniversary SkyShow with an event at the Times Square mall from 30 June to 2 July.
The first show took place at Festival Walk in May with two more scheduled at the Harbour City in August and Pacific Place in September. Unprecedented crowds at the Festival Walk show led to adding Times Square to the tour.
Cathay Pacific’s SkyShow celebrates 60 years of the airline serving Hong Kong with games, prizes and the famous Walking on Air show of uniforms through the ages, modelled by the airline’s own frontline staff. The first show drew thousands shoppers and souvenir hunters. Special Cathay Pacific anniversary merchandise including retro bags and T-shirts sold out within hours.
The SkyShow at Times Square will take place in two locations. The exhibition will be in the Open Piazza while the Walking on Air show and CXitement merchandise counter will be on the second floor of the mall. Walking on Air will run six times throughout the three days.
There will, in addition, be a new exhibition depicting milestones through the airline’s 60-year history and local pilots and cabin crew will join the audience in games and share career experiences. A new game 'Miles around the World' on 2 July afternoon will offer the audience the chance to win great prizes.
