Watch retailer City Chain has joined the legion of Hong Kong companies offering special deals as part of the "We Love HK" campaign. Customers buying from City Chain shops around Hong Kong can now get a 10% on the purchase of a single watch and a 30% discount when buying two or more watches.
Other merchants to contribute to "We Love HK" include Goldlion (Far East) Ltd, which is offering a 20% discount on new arrival items and a free gift upon a single purchase of HK$300 or more. Texwood and Apple Co Ltd are offering 20% off selected tops, while a 10% discount is being offered in selected Indian restaurants including Jo Jo Indian Restaurant, Jo Jo Mess Club, Jo Jo's Tandoori Bar and Woodlands.
Two hotels have upgraded their offers within the campaign with more great deals on rooms and at food and beverage outlets. Offers at The Excelsior Hong Kong include a 60% discount on suite rooms and a room upgrade when selecting its "Summer Break" package. The Inter-Continental Hotel is offering a local getaway package for HK$1,888 which includes credits of the same value to spend at any of its restaurants and bars or the hotel's spa.
On the award side, Qantas Airways has become the 26th airline to offer specially discounted tickets to those spending money during the campaign. The airline is offering 800 Economy Class return tickets to Sydney at just HK$2,500 for those showing receipts for HK$1,000 spent, while 80 people can claim a Business Class ticket to the same destination at HK$14,500.
Meanwhile, City Golf Club has pitched in its support for the campaign by sponsoring a huge "We Love HK" banner on the perimeter fence of the golf range. At 18 metres high and 90 metres wide, this is the largest outdoor banner in Hong Kong.
The "We Love HK" campaign was created by the Tourism Coalition of Hong Kong, which comprises members of the tourism industry, including the Board of Airline Representatives, Federation of Hong Kong Hotel Owners, Hong Kong Hotels Association and Travel Industry Council.
