Cathay Pacific welcomes extension of airport charges reduction

Cathay Pacific Airways today welcomed the Airport Authority's decision to extend its current 15 percent reduction in airport landing and parking charges at Hong Kong International Airport. The reduction will continue for a further six months to 30 September 2002.
Cathay Pacific's Director and Chief Operating Officer Philip Chen said: "We welcome the Airport Authority’s decision as this will increase Hong Kong International Airport's competitiveness. We are committed to working with the Airport Authority to enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong, and continue to explore further ways to achieve this aim."
