Cathay Pacific congratulates Beijing on winning Olympic Games

Cathay Pacific Airways today offered its warm congratulations to Beijing for its success in winning the right to host the 2008 Olympic Games. The airline is confident that Beijing will be an outstanding organiser of an excellent event. Cathay Pacific believes that the bid victory will provide an opportunity to demonstrate to the world the country and its athletes' strength and sportsmanship. The Olympic Games will also help to boost tourism in both Mainland China and in Hong Kong.
Cathay Pacific's Director and Chief Operating Officer Philip Chen, said: "We sincerely congratulate Beijing's landslide victory in hosting the 2008 Olympic Game.
