Cathay Pacific advises passengers to call hotlines first
07 Jul 2001
Cathay Pacific Airways today announced that due to the disruption caused by Typhoon Utor many departing flights this morning have been delayed. Due to the bad weather last night a number of incoming flights were diverted, and departures from Hong Kong were also delayed.
Cathay Pacific's check-in counters at the In-Town Check-In service at Hong Kong Station and Kowloon Station of the Airport Express Line are currently suspended.
Flights due to arrive in Hong Kong are also still experiencing delays due to the after-effects of the typhoon.
Cathay Pacific sincerely regrets the inconvenience which passengers have suffered as a result of this disruption. The airline is doing everything possible to get passengers to their destinations as speedily as possible. Passengers whose flights have been delayed will be rebooked onto alternative flights. Passengers who cannot check-in immediately are being given meal vouchers.
The airline strongly recommends that passengers booked on flights today check the latest flight details on its Website or call its passenger enquiry hotlines before going to the airport:
