Hong Kong has it all: excitement, opulence, variety and charm. In such a dynamic, always-on city, the only thing that can feel hard to come by is relaxation.
Yet at Asaya , Rosewood Hong Kong’s luxury wellness facility crowned Asia’s best spa at our Cathay Members’ Choice Awards 2025, serenity abounds, inviting guests to pause and disconnect from the outside world.
For a firsthand experience of Asaya’s world-class amenities and treatments, we take you behind the scenes.

Spanning 40,000sq ft and two storeys, Rosewood Hong Kong’s wellness centre is made up of dedicated spaces that approach health and wellbeing from every angle, from a fitness centre, yoga studio and hair spa to an infinity pool, sauna and relaxation lounge.
The centre also houses Asaya Spa by Guerlain, a collaboration with the French beauty brand which invites guests to experience exclusive treatments using Guerlain’s luxury products. Ten treatment rooms, characterised by marble fixtures, soft cream fabrics and windows that invite in light and greenery, provide the perfect setting.
Then there are the Asaya Lodges: luxury guest suites offering direct access to the wellness centre. Each comes with its own personal treatment room, private terrace and spacious bathroom fitted with a steam room. If you’re looking for a complete overnight reset, these beautiful apartments are the ideal choice.

The experience begins the moment you step onto the hotel’s sixth floor, where you are welcomed with a beverage and hot towel. You’ll then complete a brief survey on your health background and treatment preferences.
From there, you’re guided towards your treatment room via an elegant Guerlain showroom, where an extensive collection of the maison’s perfumes is available to sample. Overhead float delicate paper gingko leaves, each handcrafted by French paper artist Maryse Dugois. Gingko leaves are a recurring motif throughout Asaya Spa by Guerlain, evoking both a connection to nature as well as a sense of artistry.

Following our consultation, we were recommended Guerlain’s 60‑minute Deep Muscular Massage. The ritual began with our therapist placing a white cloth over our eyes, then gently fanning a selection of Guerlain scents beneath our noses. We were asked to select our favourite, which was misted over the eye cover and blended into the massage oil, creating a layered, multisensory experience.
The massage flowed with effortless rhythm. Our therapist intuitively focused on areas that craved deeper care and attention, easing tension with a firm, precise touch and just the right amount of pressure, a skill honed through weekly training sessions at the centre.
Post‑treatment, we relaxed in the chic spa lounge with tea and light refreshments. The ritual is said to help flush out toxins released during the treatment, rehydrate the body and restore balance.

Beyond the treatments at Asaya Spa by Guerlain, Asaya offers a range of holistic healing therapies. We opted for an alignment yoga session; suitable for all fitness levels, the 45-minute session is designed to bring focused attention to the body and to strengthen the core, improving everyday resilience. In the studio’s intimate setting, just right for small group sessions, the instructor was able to provide tailored adjustments to our movement and posture.
In contrast, larger group sessions and alternative therapies take place within the 2,800sq ft fitness centre, thoughtfully designed to support holistic wellbeing with state‑of‑the‑art equipment. Guests can also take in stunning harbour views from the outdoor infinity pool or luxuriate in indulgent bath facilities, extending the wellness journey beyond the studio.
“Take this opportunity to reconnect with yourself,” our instructor Rainbow encouraged, as we lay stretched out on our backs to close the session. Taking time to nurture the mind‑body connection was a form of self-care we didn’t realise how much we needed. We left the studio feeling lighter and with a renewed sense of harmony.

In addition to stunning facilities, expert-led treatments and unbeatable city views, the spa harbours a secret oasis: a tranquil sky terrace ornamented with gently flowing pools, lush herb beds and a towering vertical garden. Step outside and the effect is instant: a calm breeze, birdsong, and a stillness that soothes the senses.
“We’re not just a spa; we focus on providing a holistic wellness journey,” says Steve Desobeau, Director of Wellness at Rosewood Hong Kong. “With the hotel’s recent recognition as World’s Best Hotel 2025, we need to honour that by ensuring passion, commitment, attention to detail, and consistency.”
Whether you’re dropping in for an hour or seeking a longer escape, you’ll find yourself transported from the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui to a tranquil oasis. Here, you can truly let go – of stress, worries and even time itself. Attuned only to the quiet of your mind and the serenity of your surroundings, you’ll reconnect with your mind, body and soul.
