    Cathay Pacific
    Student fare

When do I need to present proof of student identity?

When booking online, students must provide a document number or, if applicable, the issue date of a relevant document issued by their educational institution as proof of student status.

At the airport, passengers travelling on a Cathay Pacific student fare ticket must present valid proof of their student identity during check-in for verification.

Accepted forms of student identification include:

    • International Student Identity Card (ISIC)
    • Student number
    • Student visa
    • Official documents from the educational institution, such as an admission letter or confirmation of enrolment

If passengers are unable to present valid proof of student identity upon request, but wish to travel on the same flight, they will need to purchase a new non-student fare ticket, subject to seat availability. Passengers may apply for a refund on the fully or partially unused student fare ticket, subject to applicable refund charges (if any).
