We want to make sure your travel experience is as smooth and safe as possible. Here you’ll find additional travel information and requirements to help you plan ahead and ensure you’re eligible to fly.

Travelling to and from the Chinese Mainland

Most travel restrictions for travel to and from the Chinese Mainland have been lifted, however please note:    

  • The Customs Health Declaration form must still be completed by all passengers travelling to the Chinese Mainland.
  • Passengers travelling to the Chinese Mainland who have travel history to any overseas places (including Taiwan, China) in the past 7 days are required to present a negative PCR test that has been conducted within 48 hours of the start of their journey.

Flights between Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland:

All direct, transit and transfer services through Hong Kong to destinations in the Chinese Mainland have resumed.

Ferry services:

Ferry services between the Greater Bay Area, Macao SAR and Hong Kong International Airport (in both directions) are available.  Ferry schedules can be viewed on the Hong Kong International Airport website.

 

Helpful tips and travel reminders for entering Hong Kong from overseas or Taiwan China

The Hong Kong SAR Government has removed most COVID-19 related entry requirements. 

Pre-departure COVID-19 testing

All passengers are required to perform and obtain a negative rapid antigen test result within 24 hours of departure of their flight to Hong Kong. This can be self administered and passengers must keep the test or have photographic proof of the test as health officials will conduct random checks on arrival.

Alternatively, passengers may choose to undergo a PCR test conducted within 48 hours of departure.

If you are feeling unwell

Please postpone your travel if you are feeling unwell with respiratory symptoms, such as a fever, cough, sore throat or muscle aches.
