Your travel bubble checklist to Hong Kong

Excited about travelling quarantine-free from Singapore to Hong Kong with the Air Travel Bubble? Here’s the definitive checklist of everything to get done before you set foot on the plane – and when to do it.

Before you fly to Hong Kong

Remained in Singapore for the last 14 days?

  • You cannot have travelled to anywhere other than Hong Kong or Singapore in the last 14 days. The 14 days does not include any time spent in quarantine.  

14 days before you fly

Booked your flight?

  • It’s best to book your flight well ahead of time, as there is a quota of 200 passengers on each travel bubble flight.
  • Make sure your flight is marked with a “Travel bubble” label when you book.

At least 7 days before you fly

Checked you have valid travel documents?

  • You must have the right to enter Hong Kong, such as having the necessary visa or residency permits. Check our step by step guideOpen a new window for details.
  • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months.

At least 7 days before you fly

Taken a COVID-19 test in Singapore?

  • You must have proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test from a clinic or testing centre designated by the Singapore governmentOpen a new window

  • The specimen must be taken within 72 hours before your scheduled flight departure time
  • The result must be in English, and must state your date of birth (or age),  passport number and your name exactly as it appears on your travel document

  • Give yourself some peace of mind by checking in online on our website or mobile app. You can check-in, answer our health declaration questions, and choose your seat ahead of time.

Installed the LeaveHomeSafe app?

  • All visitors to Hong Kong will need to download Hong Kong's LeaveHomeSafe app to a working mobile device, pre-register their personal details, and activate their app before landing.

Booked and paid for your post-arrival COVID-19 PCR test in Hong Kong?

  • You will need to take a COVID-19 PCR test when you arrive at Hong Kong airport. 
  • This test must be arranged, booked and paid for before your departure from Singapore. 
  • Once you’ve booked and paid for the test, you’ll receive a QR code confirming your booking. Our airport team will need to see the live QR code on your mobile device at check-in.

Taken a COVID-19 test in Hong Kong? 

  • You must have proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test from a recognised laboratory or health care institutionOpen a new window or community testing centreOpen a new window* (reservation is required). Children aged 6 or younger do not need to take a COVID-19 PCR test. 
  • The specimen must be taken within 72 hours before your scheduled flight departure time.
  • The test must be in English or Chinese, and state your date of birth (or age), passport number and name exactly as it appears on your travel document. 
  • If your return flight to Singapore is scheduled to depart within 72 hours of when you provided the test specimen for your first COVID-19 test in Singapore, and the test results were negative, you won’t need to get tested again.

Submitted your Singapore arrival card? 

  • You'll have to submit a health, travel history and accomodation declaration online via the SG Arrival Card e-service.

Prepared for your isolation period?

  • You will need to take a COVID-19 PCR test when you arrive at the Changi airport. Children aged 6 or younger do not need to take the best. After taking the test, you must self-isolate at your individual residence while you wait for your test results. The wait will be around 6 to 8 hours. Make sure you have packed everything you need for this time. 

Upon arrival in Singapore

Kept your LeaveHomeSafe app?

  • You must keep the LeaveHomeSafe app and its records for 31 days after departing Hong Kong.
