(HONG KONG) The first Dragonair walk-in cabin crew recruitment day of 2012 will be held on
3 and 4 March (Saturday and Sunday). The airline welcomes jobseekers interested in the aviation industry to join the team.
The walk-in recruitment session will be held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on both days at Dragonair House, subject to a quota of 500 interviewees per day. Applicants are required to register in person and present their resume during the interview. Those who hold the right of abode in Hong Kong, meet the recruitment requirements and pass the arm-reach test will be immediately invited for a first-round interview (See Appendix for the recruitment advertisement).
Dragonair General Manager Inflight Services Cecilia Leung said: “The travel market in the Asia-Pacific region continues to grow and we plan to expand our fleet as well as our network in 2012. As Dragonair grows, our cabin crew members will be offered tremendous opportunities and a promising career path.”
Ms Leung said that Dragonair will resume services to Guilin, Xian and Taichung this year and is looking to add more destinations to its network. “This means our cabin crew will definitely have more exposure and more opportunities to broaden their experience,” she said.
The airline aims to recruit an additional 450 cabin crew members this year to cope with its growing operational needs. All successful applicants will be provided with seven weeks of professional training covering aircraft knowledge, inflight safety and security, food and beverage as well as grooming. The career prospects are broad and, based on seniority and performance, a cabin crew member can be promoted to supervisory positions or even senior management.
