Exchange your ticket for Cathay Credits
Enjoy more flexibility with Cathay Credits
If you don’t know when you’ll be able to fly, you can easily swap your ticket for Cathay Credits. Equal the value of your original ticket(s), Cathay Credits can be used to book a new trip when it best suits you.
If you know when you’d like to fly, you can change your ticket in a few clicks using Manage Booking. Alternatively, you may cancel your ticket and request a refund.
Cathay Credits eligibility
Cathay Credits are available for passengers whose travel has been affected, as well as those who wish to change their travel plans.
Please refer to the below table to determine if your booking is eligible.

Some conditions apply:
- Tickets must be booked to/from/via destinations in our network, on flights with a Cathay Pacific (‘CX’) flight number.
- Only available for totally unused tickets.
- Requests for Cathay Credits must be made prior to your original travel date.
- Fare differences may apply.
How to apply for Cathay Credits
If you booked through Cathay Pacific – on our website, mobile app or through our call centre – simply fill in our online form to apply for Cathay Credits. Note that there is no need to change or cancel your ticket(s) in Manage Booking, as we'll take care of this for you.
If you purchased your ticket through a travel agent or a third-party website, please contact them directly to organise your Cathay Credits.
If you booked a redemption ticket, please call the Asia Miles contact centre, Link opens in a new window operated by external parties and may not conform to the same accessibility policies as Cathay Pacific .
Once complete, you’ll be able to view your Cathay Credit balance in Manage Booking.
How to book using Cathay Credits
When you’re ready to book, please call our contact centre and provide your original booking reference and ticket number – your Cathay Credits are tied to these details. Our agents will assist you in using Cathay Credits to make a new booking.
