Flying to Hong Kong soon?

Latest update: 8 June 2022

The Hong Kong Government has announced from May 1 fully vaccinated non-residents can once again enter Hong Kong with a reduced mandatory hotel quarantine period of 7 days on arrival.

Here's our step-by-step checklist on what you need to do to prepare for your trip.

Please complete the Fly Ready document pre-verification process before you head to the airport.

This will save time and reduce stress, enabling a faster check-in experience.

Your documents will also be checked by quarantine officials  on arrival in Hong Kong therefore, we strongly recommend you have digital or printed copies ready for your convenience.

Starting from your day of arrival, you will need a hotel reservation in one of the designated quarantine hotels. You will require proof of a hotel room reservation. Please ensure your full name is printed on the hotel confirmation, including all guest names in share rooms. Fully vaccinated passengers, as defined by the Hong Kong Government, must complete 7 nights quarantine on arrival. All other passengers must complete 14 nights on arrival.

*Customers holding a 7-night hotel booking confirmation may discharge earlier upon fulfilling the requirements from the Hong Kong Government. They must depart the hotel after completing the compulsory quarantine.  Customers holding a 14-night hotel booking confirmation will not be eligible for early discharge from compulsory quarantine. They must stay in the hotel room and complete the 14-day compulsory quarantine.

Proof of your vaccination status

Proof of your vaccination status

Passengers vaccinated in New Zealand must prove their vaccination history by presenting a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate e.g. a New Zealand Government-issued International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (ICVC) or Hong Kong Government Vaccine Pass.

Passengers can request their International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (ICVC) online through My Covid Record. Passengers without access to this can visit a participating vaccination site or contact the Ministry of Health on 0800 222 478.

If you were vaccinated in Hong Kong, your printed vaccination certificate, eHealth record or your vaccination pass stored in your electronic wallet will need to be shown.

Please note, it must have been at least 14 days since you were given your final dose in order to be considered “fully vaccinated”.
