This exhibition explores the intersection of performance, narrative and visual art, featuring artists who blur the boundaries between stage and canvas, including Wang Gongxin and Fu Zhongwang. Guangzhou: The Eternal Waves – Dance Drama

As part of the 2025 Guangzhou Art Festival, the acclaimed Shanghai Song and Dance Troupe presents The Eternal Waves, a gripping dance drama inspired by the true story of revolutionary martyr Li Bai. Set in the shadowy alleys and shikumen architecture of 1930s Shanghai, the production blends espionage, romance and sacrifice into a visually stunning performance. With poetic choreography, suspenseful storytelling and a richly atmospheric stage design, the production reimagines the world of underground resistance through the language of dance to create a landmark of contemporary Chinese stagecraft.
