Craig Leeson is an award-winning filmmaker, television presenter, journalist and entrepreneur. He is the chief global evangelist for the Plastic Oceans Foundation – a charity dedicated to ending humanity’s single-use plastic addiction within a generation. His debut feature film “A Plastic Ocean”, which he wrote, directed and produced, highlights the devastating impact of plastic pollution on the world’s marine environment. It was ranked number one documentary on iTunes in the US, the UK, and Canada, and is also available on major on-demand video platforms such as Amazon and Netflix.

Craig’s accomplishments

His powerful documentary, ‘A Plastic Ocean’, shows the shocking consequences of marine pollution and the need for change. As an appreciation for his dedication to environmental protection and advocacy for living plastic-free, Craig was invited to be a ChangeMaker. Over the past decade, Cathay Pacific has also been working with Craig to review and subsequently reduce our single-use plastic footprint. We have also screened ‘A Plastic Ocean’ on our flights to help spread awareness of the damaging impact of single-use plastics.
